AHATA visited the next generation of professionals to show appreciation

Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association (AHATA) recently show appreciation and inspire pride for the young people who are studying in the hospitality sector in different schools in Aruba. President and CEO of AHATA, Tisa LaSorte visited EPB San Nicolaas (Service Unit), EPB Oranjestad (Service Unit), EPI (Hospitality and Tourism Sector) Tourism), and the University of Aruba (Faculty of Hospitality & Tourism Management Studies) for discussion

The students gave away T-shirts from the “I am Tourism” campaign.

In total, the association distributed more than 750 “I am Tourism” T-shirts to the students who will become its members. The next generation of professionals in our tourism industry. The campaign aims to: inspire pride in choosing hospitality as a career.

Additionally, Vanessa Rasmussen, Manager Member Services at AHATA arranged for donations from

Laptops in every school for students to use. The visits and gifts are an indication of AHATA’s commitment to creating more awareness in the community.

Our communities, especially young people, are aware of the different opportunities in our tourism sector for a good career and quality of life. The association hopes that the visit will serve as a reminder to students about the important role each of them can play in sustaining Aruba’s economy and to inspire them to continue their studies and have a successful career.
