Today Afpakteam conducted an integral control on several flights to the Dominican Republic. The control was directed at violations of the reporting obligation of cash amounts. Each traveler is required to report to Customs if they have more than 11,000 dollars or 20,000 florins with them.
Afpakteam is an alliance of the Ministry of Public Prosecution, Police, Customs, FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit), Marechaussee, Kustwacht and RST are working to combat financial and economic crime.
