Minister of Tourism and Public Health Mr. Dangui Oduber is proud to see the Aruba Airport Authority (AAA) organize the first Airports Council International of the Latin America & Caribbean region (ACI-LAC) Airport Day Aruba 2023 on behalf of the said organization. This is certainly a great honor for Aruba and AAA.
Airport Council International is the only worldwide professional association for airport operators. Minister Oduber indicated that 270 airport operators from 34 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean participated in the event. This event is very important in the framework of improving the services provided to tourists in Latin America and the Caribbean.
As the seasonal tourists become more and more demanding, for example they want better service, they want airports to be more efficient and faster. These are the challenges that airports themselves face. It will cover topics such as how to stimulate innovation, technology, sustainability of airports and the future prospects of airports.
During the event the group of airports have a common interest to reach the main goal. To begin with, discussions with stakeholders, airport partners, aviation entities, government and tourism entities focusing on the needs of future travelers and with each entity will adapt and improve their services to better meet the demands and expectations.
Minister Oduber is certainly very pleased that Aruba could have been the host of this event, a world-renowned event. The information shared will surely help Aruba’s airport to improve even more. Finally, the Governor would like to thank AAA and all those who made this event a success.
