A.T.A. hopes to conscience and encourage communities to join us in taking action to achieve a cleaner island. The Aruba Limpi campaign is an extension of the Limpi Limpi initiative that was introduced by the Ministry of Nature in the month of July last year. The main goal is to create awareness about the cleanliness of our island, addressing a topic that is of utmost importance to our residents as well as our visitors. Door to educate local communities about our responsibility and behaviour towards our environment, seeks to create lasting impacts that benefit all people and future generations.
The campaign will last for 3 months and will encourage responsible behavior through various means. initiatives, including the opportunity to win a free year of residential waste collection at the end of the campaign. Additionally, the campaign will work with several non-governmental organizations, from among others Scubble Bubbles, to organize cleaning activities on our playgrounds and other sites/ to all the districts of the province. Together with Ban Serio, will work on special initiatives to create conscientiousness affects our children and young people.
In November, schools can participate in the Aruba’s Clean Up campaign by recording a message and thus have a chance to win a year of cleanup for them school.
The theme of the campaign is an expansion of the vision of the previous director of A.T.A., Mrs. Myrna Jansen. That a sweet island to live in, is a sweet island to visit is a sincere sentiment of our people that reflects the gratitude for the tourism industry. At the same time, the motto reminds us of the quality of life of residents go hand in hand with the quality of our visitor experience.
We believe that a clean island is not just a duty but a reflection of our love and commitment to the environment our beloved island. By joining forces in this campaign, we can make a meaningful impact and create a future. The most sustained for Aruba were the words of Ronella Croes CEO of A.T.A.
