November 2024

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared
preliminary tourism data for November 2024, revealing that Bonaire received 16,626
stayover visitors. This marks an increase of 19.5% compared to November 2023,
when 13,910 visitors arrived.
Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 46.4% of total
arrivals with 7,708 visitors, an increase of 9.1% compared to November 2023, when
7,062 visitors arrived. U.S. visitors were the second-largest group, making up 26.2%
of arrivals with 4,361 visitors, a significant rise of 60% from 2,726 visitors in
November 2023.
Visitors from Curaçao represented 12.2% of the total, with 2,034 visitors, while
additional contributions came from Germany (2.4%, 402 visitors), Canada (2.4%,
391 visitors), Belgium, Aruba, Colombia, Brazil, and Switzerland.
The remarkable growth in U.S. visitors can be attributed to new flight connections,
such as JetBlue’s expanded routes and additional flights offered by other carriers,
which enhance accessibility for key markets.
U.S. visitors primarily came from states such as New York, Florida, Texas, New
Jersey, Colorado, California, Georgia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and
Massachusetts.
The age distribution revealed that mature travelers aged 55-64 represented 22.7% of
the visitors, and those aged 65+ comprised 20.7%. Among Dutch visitors, most
came from North Holland, South Holland, and North Brabant, with the age groups
55-64 (26.7%) and 45-54 (18.5%) as the largest segments.
