Lhbtqi Allies Conference

The Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations is organizing the
LGBTQI+ Allies Conference in Curaçao from December 2nd to 4th, 2024. The
conference, which aims to work towards a more inclusive future, brings together a
diverse group of people, including activists, policymakers, researchers, artists and
community leaders. Everyone can contribute to promoting equality and diversity in
their own way.
During three full days, attention will be paid to the challenges the community faces and at
the same time successes will be celebrated; all with the aim of providing a platform for
dialogue, inspiration and collaboration around inclusion and diversity.
More than 20 inspiring speakers will be featured during these days, including activist and
entrepreneur Janice Tjon Sien Kie; chair of Fundashon Orguyo Kòrsou, Marlon Reina;
founder of Corporate Queer, Remco Boxelaar; secretary of the board of Fundacion Orguyo,
Egmar Irausquin; Founder and chair of Fundashon EQ, Judith Brekelmans; founder of
inclusion4diversity, Amin Michel; and head of department at the Directorate for Emancipation
of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, Lisette Kuyper.
Deputy Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba, Vincent Storimans, will act as chair.
In addition to the speakers, there will be various workshops, as well as a nice social program
with networking opportunities.
