The celebration of World Tourism Day is an occasion on which the Minister of Tourism and Public Health Mr. Dangui Oduber takes the opportunity to, not only raise awareness among the community about the importance of the industry for our country and celebrate all those individuals whose daily work supports this. But it is also a day to share knowledge that enables all parties involved to achieve “best practice” goals. 

The World Tourism Day is celebrated on September 27 and in connection with it Minister Oduber attended and delivered a speech at the World Tourism Day conference. There, the minister met the students of the University of Aruba “Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management” where talks on tourism were held. Minister Oduber focused on investing in our people. According to the minister, it is the hospitality and cordiality of our people that is essential and allows us to excel our lovely Aruba above all other destinations. Minister Oduber pledged that his priority as Minister of Tourism would always be to promote growth opportunities, forever procure for our people to work in a safe working environment.

This week marks tourism week and Minister Oduber wishes all members of the tourism sector a Happy World Tourism Day. Take the moment to reflect and renew our commitment to professionalism, our level of services and provide the best possible experience to all visitors that our island receives. This is good for our tourism, our economy, but it is also good for our community mainly.
