These red lights are in connection with World Heart Week. The purpose of the red lights is to draw everyone’s attention to heart diseases that can harm our health. Fighting cardiovascular diseases is certainly important for every beating heart. Awareness is a very important in the national NCD’s disease prevention plan.

One of the causes that affects our heart the most is high blood pressure, this can be fought by leading a healthier life. High blood pressure affects more than 30% of adults worldwide, which is more than 1 billion people. It is the main risk factor for heart diseases (cardiovascular, especially coronary heart diseases and stroke (brain stroke), but also chronic kidney diseases, heart problems, arrhythmias and dementia. This is the reason why Minister Dangui urges the community to keep doing the blood pressure tests, make your check-ups medical on a regular basis to prevent any kind of illness.
