From September 15, 2023, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) together with the Department of Labor and Research (DAO) and the Central Bank of Aruba (CBA) will conduct the Labor Force Survey 2023 (LFS2023). The LFS2023 aims to provide a detailed and up-to-date view of the labor market in Aruba.

It will also collect information on the characteristics of participants and non-participants in the labor market. In this way it is possible to make an in-depth analysis of the composition of the labor market of Aruba and also compile important indicators, such as e.g. the employment and unemployment rate in Aruba, the degree of participation of men and women in the labor market and the level of education of those who are employed and not employed.

As of Tuesday morning, September 26, 2023, information has been collected from more than 500 households and more than 1,000 individuals.

Privacy

It should be emphasized that all information will be processed anonymously and will be published only in aggregate form. The information collected will help those in charge of formulating and implementing labor policies to do so more effectively and based on current data from Aruba. The information collected will also serve to inform those in the private sector as well as those in the education and research sector, and the general public of the latest developments on Aruba’s labor market.

The privacy of each household and each person participating in LFS2023 is guaranteed by the research team (CBS, DAO and CBA). The information collected will contribute to providing a comprehensive view of current developments on the Aruba labor market. Therefore the participation of each household and each person approached by our survey team is essential!
