As readers know, our story is one day a week and our topics vary. Sometimes our activities that are taking or have been carried out reach a time limit. We are trying to go according to the sequence of premises that has been done, but sometimes it is known to pass something else that has priority.
Just like we have a single year ago from Don Carlos “Cayochi” Kelkboom from Radio kelkboom, there is news that lasts a day and there is news that lasts longer. This week, we will deal with the topic of a course with very interesting workshops in itself, which took place recently under the dynamic leadership of the friendly Rebecca Roos, a professional in recording and filming. A very enthusiastic group of about 12 people, some known in our community for their jobs, including the musician Ivan Quandus, the well-known rider Roly St. Jago, the gentle rider Lucacio from Unoca and Dr. Joyce Perreira from LA. Lanta Papiamento Foundation, who have been part of those who participate in the formidable documentary making course or short documentary with all aspects.
Very very intense course that lasted two weeks throughout the morning almost non stop without too many pauses. All of them worked very hard himself in the technical, theoretical and practical parts, looking for all kinds of information related to the chosen topics. The certificate award night was held at the Dun dun Ecury House museum and the audience present, art lovers and more, were able to witness and watch the results recorded in their documentary short film. All of the issues were important issues in our community.
A crew filmed how he came to the plate with the names of cages in the West and why such and such a name, we could hear the voice of Mr. Gregorio”Ito Tromp” in interviews. Ito is a wise master. A crew filmed how fishing started and or how it is developing and its importance in a fish’s life, and a crew filmed beginnings and consequences of drugs, when a person becomes addicted to drugs in their recording “Gimme a Flower”. According to me each documentary or documentary lasted less than 5 minutes. Imagine, so much important and valuable interesting information in such a short time.
The blockbuster films, almost no small technical glitches, but, imagine the pressure on each of the participants to be clear with their “order” in the given and allowed time. The audience present could throw any question in the direction of the three teams, who showed off and shone tremendously in their work. A work that Rebecca Roos gave of her love and passion to others, simple facts and immersion a short documentary in another. It’s a shocking and very pleasant night with a sweet atmosphere. After all the presentations, the audience present could enjoy a sweet wine or soft drink and or a sweet Subway sandwich. Very gentle to each of the participants to this course of short documentary films who now know more in this area as well. Aruba also has its sweet professional and well trained people, very talented like Rebecca Roos, who has several beautiful and interesting films above her name. ,
Congrats once again to everyone who attended this course and thanks to Rebecca Roos and everyone who made it possible. Thanks to all those who have allowed me to be filmed and or interviewed in these short documentaries. Thank you for carefully reading our stories. A “bearhug” for all forests.
