Strengthening the Family

Pastor Marcel Balootje

The time has come for repentance and the restoration of the peace that God has promised

When we see worldwide the people’s attitudes, which we know to be wrong, which God rejects, the way they think and act, but which still with their feet stand on the pedal of disobedience, we ask God’s mercy and forgiveness. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light. When will man mock God?

After you learned the truth, you became envious of evil and hated it. They know that God does not approve of immorality or greed, yet they persist in what is evil. When people do everything possible, use knowledge, wisdom, and riches to rebel against God. When God’s commands are not good for us, they are set aside. When we completely exclude God from our program, we know 100% that whatever we are working with, God is not supporting. For we are not puffed up with pride, but are puffed up with selfish ambitions and desires. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. Titus 1:16 (which translates as “I am with you”) But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. Who will repay him for what he has done?

For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, envy, strife, malice, deceit, bravery, envy, slander, arrogance and foolishness. These are the traits of a righteous man. All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean.’

” What did Jesus say? For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10) What a fine example for us to follow! Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. (2 Corinthians 7:10) What a fine example for us to follow!

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you – even Jesus. (Acts 3:19-20) The apostle Paul was not alone. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) The Bible does not say that he was. I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. (Luke 13:3)

How can we do that? And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins”. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings. (Mark 11:25-26) The time had come for them to repent and stop playing games with God.
