The Minister of Finance meets regularly with the heads of the tax service to attend to the placement of assessment for income and the payment of refunds
The time of addressing your declaration does not depend (only) on the time of delivery of your statement. Such was the case in the past (enter first – exit first). If your declaration can be controlled by the system, then perhaps you can receive your refund within 1 month. If your declaration is incorrectly filled out or if there is another reason, it must be manually checked by an employee, it may take several months before you receive your refund. About 600 declarations are processed manually every week, parallel to the automatic process. This also applies to the treatment of statements from previous years (2018-2021). The payment of refunds is also an ongoing process.
In addition to the control of income tax declarations, about 200 income tax objection requests (notice of objection) are processed every week.
There are and will be several improvement actions implemented in the coming period to be able to automate and attend to a greater part of the income tax forms as soon as possible.
