Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao reunited for the 2024-2025 Inter Insular games

Recently, a meeting between Aruba, Curaçao and Bonaire was held in Curaçao to evaluate the 2023 Inter-Island Games and to prepare for the next edition of the Games.

Aruba was represented by IBiSA in the persons of Wladimir Wolff and William Erasmus, Curaçao by FDDK in the person of Stallone Isenia, Faye Vas, Nickelson De Windt and Virgilly Winklaar and Bonaire in the person of INDEBON in the person of William Piar, Sylvio Semeleer, Terrence de Jongh and Timoteo Silberie, during this meeting evaluated how the games went on in each of the islands during 2023, with the first games taking place in Bonaire, then Curaçao and finally Aruba.

There were many topics of discussion, including requests to try to raise the level of not only the Inter-Island Games, but also part of the organization. During these days of meetings, the sports branches that will compete for the 2024/2025 school season were selected.

This is dodgeball and it will be in category B and C elementary school girls; Women category B and C boys and girls, primary school; and chess category B and C boys and girls, primary school. The games will take place in Aruba from 29 February to 3 March 2024.

Later on Bonaire will take place football category C girls advanced schools; Basketball 3×3 boys category B and C elementary school and aquathlon category B and C boys and girls, elementary school and high school.

The games will take place from March 14-17, 2024. Finally, in Curaçao and in the period 11-14 April 2024, will take place Athletics category B and C boys and girls, school basic and advanced Volleyball category B and C boys, school basic and basketball 3×3 category C boys, school advanced.

The purpose of these games is to strengthen bonds of friendship, but mainly to give schools the opportunity to represent their island and compete in sports. Minister of Education and Sports of Aruba Mr. Endy Croes, Minister of Education, Science Culture and Sport, of Curacao sr. Sithree van Heydoorn and also Bonaire Sports Deputy Mr. James Kroon,

together with the respective sports departments of each island IBISA, FDDK and INDEBON will ensure a sublime organization once again in 2024. Stay tuned for more information.
