In Bonaire to celebrate reading and the good use of language the Bonaire Public Library gives away books for two days, starting on September 8 which is Literacy Day.
On September 8th from 08:00 to 16:30 and on September 9th from 08:00 to 11:30 at Gramelstreet z/n. During these 2 days everyone is welcome to stop by the library and choose from a wide variety of books and can donate a maximum of 5 books per person. There will be books available for all ages and in 4 languages (Papiamento, Dutch, Spanish and English).
Library management is responsible for keeping the book collection optimal, attractive and also interesting for all readers. He says this to show that the old oath has been taken away in order that the new oath may be put in place. The library is currently renovating its book collection and this is the reason for this beautiful gift on such a special day.
The library team hopes to see many past and future readers take advantage of this opportunity to cultivate reading on Bonaire. You can also use this time to become a member of the library or book club. More information can be found on our facebook page and the public library can be contacted at 715-5344 or visit the library at Gramelstreet z/n.
