SER Curaçao in latest report: Labor migration important factor for promoting inclusive labor market

Ser Curacao 1

Labor migration remains an important factor in promoting an inclusive labor market. Utilizing the benefits of labor migration contributes not only to economic growth but also to a society in which equal opportunities and diversity are valued. However, creating an inclusive labor market requires thoughtful and well-considered policies.”

In its latest report, which was published on May 30, 2023, the Social and Economic Council (SER) of Curaçao gives its vision of the necessary preconditions for the formulation of a labor market and migration policy for Curaçao. According to the SER, the time has come to embrace the value of labor migration and build an inclusive labor market that promotes both economic growth and social cohesion. To achieve this, government, employers, trade unions and civil society organizations must work together to provide the necessary infrastructure and support systems.
