In 2021 AAA organized several Sustainability Inspiration Tours
Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) company that manages Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA Airport), organized several site visits to different companies on the island to learn about these organizations’ sustainability efforts, the so called “Sustainability Inspiration Tours”.
AAA sees the importance to get new and fresh ideas that could be incorporated at AUA Airport as well.
On November 24, 2021, AAA invited all companies that have hosted Sustainability Inspiration Tours in the past to AUA Airport for an Airport Sustainability Inspiration Visit & Tour.
AAA shared information on the airport’s current sustainability journey, the challenges ahead and future projects and plans. Participants were able to see how new and more energy efficient systems help reduce AUA Airport’s energy and water consumption and how AAA is pushing for more sustainable ways of air transportation in the region.
AAA also shared its Corporate Social Responsibility projects and plans with a focus on “Wings of Hope” which directly benefits the local community.
The presentations were followed by an Airside tour and a site visit to the airport’s Utility Building where the participants obtained valuable information on the systems in place to protect the airport and to guarantee business continuity.
AAA’s Director Health, Safety and Sustainability, Mrs. Angeline Flemming thanked the participating companies for their presence and willingness to interchange valuable information and for their excitement to continue working together on future projects.
